We are a large, diverse elementary school that operates on a year-round calendar. Our students are engaged in learning using a variety of instructional methods and experiences. At Durant, we have a family focus and enjoy wonderful parent involvement and community support through our Partners in Education. The YMCA runs a before school and after school program.

Due to wet ground conditions and the high likelihood of rain tomorrow, Grounds Day scheduled for May 23 has been canceled.
We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. If your family would still like to help care for our campus, you’re welcome to stop by over the long weekend to pick up trash, gather sticks, and make our campus shine.

Even though Teacher Appreciation Week is over, DonorsChoose is still doubling, for today, all donations to the projects that are listed on our DRES DonorsChoose website. There are six live projects left, from Kindergarten supplies and fine motor materials, to bilingual books for our ESL classroom, to robots, to books in the library, to books for kids to write their own graphic novels.
