PTA President Katie Franklin here - As we begin to wrap up this school year, allow me to brag about everything WESPTA has accomplished and to thank each and every PTA member, volunteer, faculty and staff at WES. We had over 150 members.

* We raised nearly $40,000
* We funded a new fence on the 1st grade playground
* We hosted 6 Spirit Night events
* We launched a Spirit Rock** and organized families to paint it each week
* We funded field trips for the entire school
* We expanded PBIS funding and awarded thousands of dollars in teacher grants
* We coordinated 2 Book Fairs
* We funded 3 cultural arts events, including a tile mosaic that will soon become a permanent part of our school
* And yes, we bought *thousands* of slices of pizza!

Planning for the next school year is in full swing and the WESPTA has some essential positions to fill.

If you are thinking, “I can’t commit to everything,” - we don’t expect you to. Our goal is 2-3 volunteers for each committee so leadership is shared and no one carries the entire load alone.

Our most crucial needs are to add a Fundraising and Events Co-Chair. If these positions aren’t filled, we can’t continue vital fundraising initiatives and events we look forward to each year. Email our President Katie Franklin [email protected] if interested!
