OFFICER SPOTLIGHT: meet our president (me), Ingrid Santiago!
Hi everyone! My name is Ingrid Santiago and I am overjoyed to be the president of ACDA for this school year! I am a member of the class of 2022 (it’s ONYX year!) majoring in music education with choral focus. My goal is to teach high school choir. A fun fact about me is that I’m ambidextrous (both left and right dominant) and some of my favorite things include iced coffee, the tv show Survivor, and the color yellow! I can’t wait to work with this team this year and help our program learn and grow!

OFFICER SPOTLIGHT: meet our Vice President Olivia Vestal!
“My name is Olivia Vestal, I am a Senior Music Education Major with a focus in Choral Music. I grew up right outside of Raleigh and have always enjoyed music. I started studying piano and got involved in choir in Middle School. My choir teacher and specifically the choir accompanist was extremely influential in my life and gave me a lot of opportunities to grow musically and through leadership skills. By working with the younger choir I realized that I wanted to work with music for my entire life and specifically teaching music. I hope to teach music at any level for a few years before continuing my education and getting my Doctorate in Musicology.”
We are so excited to have Olivia on our team this semester and will be sad when she has to leave us in the spring to student teach!

“Hi! My name is Grace Raphun. I'm in the class of 2023 and from Raleigh, NC. I am majoring in music education, and my dream is to be an elementary school music teacher. A fun fact about me is I love Kit Kats, and I love to laugh! I am so excited to be back at Meredith and see everyone!!”

“Hey y’all! My name is Emily House I’m from Rocky Mount NC and I’m an incoming freshman! I plan to major in Music Education and after college I hope to become a high school choir teacher! I’m looking forward for the fall semester and the chance to meet and work with you all!”
