The phrase is positive + empowering. Most women would encourage their friends + women in their lives to love their bodies. But when it comes to their own body... it's a completely different story. ⁠

It's hard to implement this phrase in our own lives, thoughts, and perspective of our own body. I believe the first step is not striving for perfection + society's definition of beauty. It's first determining your definition of beauty and then implementing unconditional love towards your body. ⁠

Have you ever bought clothes because they seemed cute in the store or they were on sale (and you LOVEEEEE a deal)?⁠

What are the outcomes when you shop like this? Do you find you have a closet full of cute stuff but nothing really goes together? Do you find it hard to put outfits together? ⁠

Why? It is because you didn't shop with a purpose + a plan. When we shop for cute things, sometimes they are not always the same style personality- so your closet feels like a bunch of random things. This is why it's hard to pull outfits together because it's like shopping at Anthropologie, Ann Taylor, and a vintage consignment store. It's not in alignment of who you are and your personal style. It might be an a bunch of styles you saw influencers wear. Don't worry there is hope., my friend.⁠
