Those of us who grew up going to Sunday school - especially when felt boards were all the rage - or have kids in Sunday school are probably familiar with Noah’s Ark. The story of a man, a big boat, LOTS of animals and a rainbow. There is a lot to this story but the part we want to highlight in this faith series is Noah’s faith. Noah was considered to be a man of great honor, because he walked with God and followed his commands, even when it was hard and going his own way would have been far easier. Something we may not have learned as a kid is that Noah lived in what was basically a desert. People thought Noah building an ark was crazy! There was no water nearby, what was he going to do with this big boat?! One of my favorite verses from this story is Genesis 6:22. After God outlines the many instructions for how the ark is to be built and what to do once it was built, Genesis 6:22 says, “And Noah did this. He did everything that God had commanded him.” This type of faith is why Noah was a man of honor in the eyes of God. Noah trusted every word God said and lived according to God’s word.

In this time of confusion, I think it is important for us to follow the example of Noah. Trust God and everything that He has commanded. Be still and know that he is God; hell those in need, even though that may look a little different than we are used to. Praise him for the blessings we have.

I hope this serves as a blessing to you all. We miss our families and want to keep you in our prayers, so please message us with anything we can partner in prayer with you over. And check out our stories for some videos about Noah you can watch with your kids!
See you next week!

Good News Camp Trinity family: The tomb is empty, Jesus rose again. Our present-day circumstances do not change that!

Today, following our theme of faith, I want to take some time to reflect on what many of us celebrated this weekend, the object of our faith. Our faith is not a foolish hope but rather a faith based on fact. We have faith that Jesus Christ the Son of God came down to Earth, lived the perfect life that we could not live, died in our place on the cross, and then rose and again and defeated death, so that we could receive the free gift of eternal life with God.

Jesus’s death is the perfect sacrifice that was promised in the Old Testament, right at the beginning, in the garden of Eden. His death and resurrection shows His love for His people: through the cross, Jesus has forgiven us of our sin and has made a way for us to have a relationship with God.

Now what do we do to accept this free gift? Turn and trust. We turn from our sin, saying that we no longer live for our selfish desires, but we live for God, because he paid a great price on the cross for us. And we trust that Jesus is who he said he was; we trust that Jesus is Lord over our life and our Savior from our sin.
