Broughton Class of 1987 Reunions

Join classmate Erica Payne for a screening of "The Deciders." As one of the movie's creators, Erica would love for anyone to come see the result. The movie is supposedly from a bipartisan approach, and its website states:

"Working-class residents in a small, Southern town get a strange offer from a group of self-professed Patriotic Millionaires: we’ll show you how politicians from both parties rigged the economy against you, if you’ll help us fix it?

"Dubbing themselves 'The Deciders,' this nascent group of single mothers, military veterans and Trump supporters finds solidarity in pursuit of a living wage and faces entrenched forces and callous political leaders in a heartfelt documentary that will leave you asking who really decides where the money goes?

"And why not you?"

The screening is Tuesday night at Raleigh's Rialto Theater at 6pm sharp!

Unfortunately it looks like we lost Kelly Pleasants on Monday. The link to the obituary follows, and we haven't been able to learn any details thus far beyond that. Her family is in our thoughts and prayers :(

Please save the date for the Broughton Men's Basketball Alumni Game on Thursday, November 2nd at 6:00pm at Holliday Gym. This is a FREE family friendly event. There will be food, entertainment, raffle prizes and more as we aim to to get our community back into the bleachers again cheering on the CAPS!!
