Fifteen years of co-teaching is something special.

Over the years, Ms. Allen and Ms. Lanphear worked together to support students, encourage growth, and create meaningful learning experiences for countless Brassfield Bears.

As they retire this year, we are grateful for the impact they’ve had on our school and the many students and families they’ve supported along the way.

Thank you, Ms. Allen and Ms. Lanphear. Your legacy at Brassfield will be felt for years to come. 💙🐻

What a day for our Track 1 5th graders! 💙

The celebration began with a clap out through the halls, followed by a promotion ceremony as families, teachers, and classmates gathered to celebrate this special milestone.

After the ceremony, students enjoyed an afternoon filled with laughter, friendship, and plenty of fun—making friendship bracelets, posing in the photo booth, cooling off with Kona Ice, enjoying the video game truck, and making memories together before heading off to middle school.

A huge thank you to the PTA volunteers who helped bring the celebration to life. From planning and setup to serving and cleanup, your time and dedication helped make the day so special for our students.

Congratulations, 5th graders! We loved celebrating with you and can’t wait to see all you’ll accomplish in middle school and beyond. 💙🐻

Our front entrance is looking a little brighter this week thanks to the generosity of our community partners!

A huge thank you to Homewood Nursery for donating beautiful plants and to ARPS Lawn Services for donating their time and expertise to install them. Their generosity helped refresh our entrance just in time to welcome our newest Brassy Bears and their families for Kindergarten Orientation.

We are so grateful for businesses that invest in our school and help keep Brassfield looking beautiful. Thank you, Homewood Nursery and ARPS Lawn Services! 💙🐻🌿

Today, our school community came together to celebrate Mr. Elliott as he prepares for retirement.

Students and staff surprised him with a retirement parade filled with handmade cards, signs, smiles, cheers, and plenty of appreciation. It was a special opportunity to thank him for his leadership, support, and the positive impact he has had on so many students, families, and staff members.

Congratulations, Mr. Elliott, on your retirement. We wish you all the best in this next chapter! 💙🐻

Members of the Class of 2026 returned to walk the halls where their school journey began, greeted by cheers from current students and proud family members.

We loved welcoming these Brassy Bear alumni back to campus and wish them all the best as they celebrate graduation and look ahead to what’s next. 🎓

Today we celebrated our second Awards Assembly of the school year!

Twice each year, Brassfield students are recognized for academic achievement, character, effort, growth, and leadership. Awards like Kindness Champion, Curious Mind, Future Scientist, Growth Mindset, and Best of the Bears highlight the many ways students shine, while our Art, Music, and PE teachers also recognize outstanding students in their classes.

Congratulations to all of today’s award recipients! We love celebrating the unique strengths and accomplishments of our Bears. 🐻💙
