A big congratulations to Jing on receiving a 2019 Storkan/Hanes/McCaslin Research Foundation award at the 2019 APS meeting. Jing was recognized for her work on the phenotypic and molecular characterization of adaptation by Phytophthora nicotianae to partial resistance genes in to***co and the fitness costs of this adaptation to the pathogen. She continues the tradition of exceptional grad students in the Shew lab that have received this award. Congratulations, Jing.
