Another year. Another art scavenger hunt! How many fairy doors you can find on the greenway?

New fall schedule is up and, yep, there are some changes! A quick recap: After school art camp is now on Wednesdays, track our camp dates are live (but limited), and Art After Dark is back and available to elementary ages! Check out the website for more. 🎨

At long last! I’ve had so much fun making these book covers in my free time over the past few months and I’m so glad that this little free library is back open! I love my neighborhood!

Why Trackout Art Camps in Raleigh are Perfect for Year-Round Students — Raleigh Kids Art Gallery For parents of students year-round schedules in Raleigh, trackout weeks can present a challenge. Read on to learn how you can keep your kids entertained, engaged, and learning while they’re out of school!

This is one of my favorite parts of our week-long camp - our art “critique” before the art show! We walk around to each other’s art station and talk about our favorite art piece by each artist and why. The WHY piece is the most important part, in my opinion! Figuring out why we like (or don’t like) a specific piece of art is a skill worth practicing. Instead of just saying, “I like it because it’s cool” we take a second to think about why. Is it the colors? Maybe the composition or texture? This is just another way we practice being art detectives 🔎

This January, our studio is brimming with opportunities to create and connect! Craft painted book bricks at our Adult Art Class or celebrate winter’s beauty during Art After Dark.
