This message is for you:
The one who has been stuck in the cycle of people-pleasing for far too long. Saying No isn't easy, especially when it feels like the entire world is counting on you.
There are many days that you step out of your own comfort level to please others, sacrificing your own desires and dreams in the process.
Many days you made a choice of saying yes when your heart was screaming no, when every fiber of your being was telling you to stop, to pause, to reconsider.
But you didn't want to be disliked, or let others down, so you kept going even when you had no energy to pursue that task at hand. You pushed through the exhaustion, the burnout, and the emotional drain, all to avoid the discomfort of saying no.
You built your life around other people's lives and handed all your might to them without a second thought in your own life. You put their needs before your own, their desires above your own, and their expectations over your own.
Well, you weren't forced, you were bound in chains of fear - fear of rejection, fear of abandonment, fear of not being loved or accepted.
Chains of validation, where your self-worth was tied to the approval of others.
But now, you're standing your ground. You're breaking free from those chains, one link at a time. You have taken control of your life, and it's hard.
It's hard to say no, to set boundaries, to prioritize yourself. But you can do it. You can learn to say no without feeling guilty, to prioritize your own needs without feeling selfish, and to love yourself without condition. You got this!
