Parent and Child Advocate Educational Advocacy Services for Special Needs Children I have a BA in Psychology with K-6 certificate in teaching from Meredith College.

I taught in the Wake County Public School System for 6 years. As a parent of a child with special needs I am knowledgeable and have a practical hands-on perspective with the special educational system in North Carolina. With my experience as a teacher, I am able to provide a unique perspective as a parent and educator which is helpful as we navigate through the IEP or 504 Plan process. For the pas

t 3 years, I have served as an advocate for children who do not have a parent or guardian available to help them through the educational system. I am a mother of 3 children ranging from elementary school through high school. I have experience working through the special education system in elementary school, middle school and high school. It is my goal and passion to help children love the process of learning and receive the education that best fits their needs.
