Beloved Corbett Family Holiday Tree Display Expands to The White House on Washington

MEBANE, NC – December 1, 2025 — A beloved Mebane family tradition will once again bring the magic of Christmas to life as Dr. Donna Corbett presents Always Christmas, an enchanting holiday tree display celebrating love, legacy, and community spirit.
Now in its third year as a public event, Always Christmas will be hosted in collaboration with The White House on Washington, located at 7920 E. Washington Street, Mebane, NC 27302 — a premier event destination nestled between the Triangle and the Triad.

A Corbett Family Legacy Lives On. What began in the early 1990s as a cozy open house in the Corbett family’s West End home has grown into a hallmark of Mebane’s holiday season. Mary and Ben Corbett’s annual gathering at 210 West Street welcomed family, friends, neighbors, and church members to enjoy food, laughter, and music — all centered around Mary’s exquisite collection of themed Christmas trees.

Following her mother’s passing in 2020, Dr. Corbett continued the celebration as a heartfelt tribute. “Each year, I’m reminded that sharing this tradition keeps my mother’s spirit alive,” says Corbett. “She was known for her giving heart, and Always Christmas continues that legacy by bringing joy to others.”

As attendance grew beyond the family home, Corbett partnered with the City of Mebane in 2023 to make the beloved display accessible to the public, transforming it into a signature community holiday event.

A Holiday Experience Like No Other. This year’s Always Christmas promises an even grander experience inside The White House on Washington, known for its elegant design and timeless architectural detail. Guests will be transported into a world of festive wonder — reminiscent of the charm and sophistication of a Biltmore Christmas — right in the heart of Mebane.

These Queens and King will see you at the Tea Party on Sunday at the Marriott Crabtree. This picture was taken at TCP Magazine’s 21st Anniversary when Amazing Grace Etiquette provided training for over 25 youth during the Main Program for the Anniversary. This was a great partnership to prevent the children from boredom and gave the parents an opportunity to enjoy the program.

Holiday Tea Party Empowerment Speaker: Dr. Edith Berry

We are honored to welcome Dr. Edith Berry as our Tea Empowerment Speaker for our Amazing Moms. Dr. Berry is the owner of The Berry Educational Professional Services, where she equips parents and teachers with practical strategies and creative approaches that strengthen children’s academic learning while nurturing their gifts in the Arts.

In May 2025, Dr. Berry earned her Doctorate in Education from Fayetteville State University and was inducted into the prestigious International Honor Society of Phi Lambda Theta. A retired educator with an unwavering passion for learning, she remains a powerful advocate for empowerment, both in the classroom and in ministry. Of all the roles she fulfills, the one she treasures most is that of minister, using her voice to uplift, encourage, and inspire others through faith and education.

Dr. Berry is also a seasoned writer for TCP Magazine, an actor, dancer, influencer, and a wellspring of knowledge on nearly any topic you can imagine. We eagerly anticipate the empowering nuggets she will share—words that will surely equip and encourage our children to excel.

Moms we look forward to you joining us in our Empowerment Session at the Tea Party on December 7. Pastor Doris Diane Jones from Fayetteville is a dedicated supporter and usually sponsors about 8 attendees from her circle.

Last year she shared how she adopted children who were abandoned at a time when her own children were grown and she was ready for smooth sailing at her age. Her story was relevant to another mom in the room which led to transparency and a release of emotion throughout the room.

We have an assortment of contributing speakers throughout the room. Our main speaker this year will help you navigate the learning spectrum in the school system .

Reign Webb returns again for our 2025 Prince/Princess Holiday Tea Party Extravaganza on December 7 at the Crabtree Marriott Hotel.

Reign Selah is living her dreams outloud through the arts. She is a member of a local dance company. She has been featured in local and national dance and drama shows and three productions at the National Black Theater Festival. She participated in dance intensives around the
country with prestigious organizations including Dance Theater of Harlem and Joffrey Ballet School. She has also been featured in 2 movies as a supporting actress - Colored River (2025 - Short) and Underground King (2025 - Feature).

Reign Selah has held many local, state, and national pageant titles. She is the current reigning Miss Activist USA Jr. Teen. Reign had the opportunity to walk in New York
Fashion Week a number of times and for multiple designers. She has also been featured in a number of magazines.

Reign Selah has been nationally recognized and awarded the Gold
Presidential Volunteer Service Award four times. She also is pursuing her interest in writing and drawing.

Her aspiration is to be a Broadway and Screen Star. She thanks God for all of her gifts and talents and does everything for His glory.
