Lessons are 30 minutes per week at $20 dollars each for piano or voice individually. I can currently teach 2 students at a time if the learning level is the same or close in piano, but would be a 45 minute time slot at $15 each student weekly. Piano lessons require the student to have a minimum of a 72 full size key keyboard for home practice. (Ask me for recommendations if needed).

Voice student pricing is the same and I can accommodate 2 at a time currently. Smartphones or similar devices for mp3 downloads and vocal exercise recordings are required.

There will be a $20 registration fee which will be kept in an account for you to allow purchasing books and downloads. Full accounting will be provided upon request. (Some may need a little more if they progress quickly). đŸ˜‡ (That’s a good problem to have). LOL.

We will have at least two recitals a year, Christmas and Spring. I will be working on other public performance opportunities as they become available.

Lessons will be at my home near the Dollar General. For those in North Raleigh, I may can make my church, Homewood Meothodist, available if we can coordinate schedules.

Lessons will begin in September in order to allow kids to adjust to being back in school.

Call or text if any questions or schedule your time slot. I will be available after school until 5PM. Later some days. Homeschoolers can always get earlier time slots.

Thanks for so much interest! Kim. 601-527-9565

88 A Day offers instruction in both Piano & Voice
All skill levels and ages are welcome! We cater to your needs.
Piano lessons help children in school!
Numerous studies available show children who play an instrument, score higher on both standard and spatial cognitive development tests alike. There are also findings that show kids who play piano, in particular, scored higher in math, especially on problems dealing with ratios and fractions.
Piano lessons raise self esteem!
Lessons help kids learn how to keep a positive outlook when facing difficult tasks. The understanding that mastering a new skill is a process that requires patience helps children to approach tasks with confidence, and not become discouraged or frustrated. Children get to showcase their skills at various recitals throughout the year.
Piano lessons increase coordination!
Increased eye-hand coordination is almost a given for children that learn to play the piano, but there is more than that. Kids who play the piano have improved fine motor skills and, unlike other instruments, the piano requires both hands to work independently of each other, one moving fast while the other may be moving at a slower rate. All of these things help to increase a child's overall dexterity and complex thought processes.
