The United States Senate Youth Program (USSYP) is now accepting applications from North Carolina students for its statewide selection process through Oct. 4.

The USSYP gives high school juniors and seniors interested in studying history or political science an opportunity to spend a week in Washington, D.C. meeting legislators, cabinet members, Supreme Court justices and officials from federal agencies and the White House.

The program will select two North Carolina students as delegates. Each delegate will receive a $12,500 scholarship and attend a week-long educational program in Washington, D.C. from March 6-13.

Fruitfulness Follows Faithfulness!

Sometimes we become so focused on seeing results that we forget the importance of simply remaining faithful.

Keep praying when you haven’t seen the answer. Keep planting when you haven’t seen the harvest. Keep serving, growing, believing, and doing what God has called you to do—even when progress seems slow.

A seed doesn’t become a harvest overnight. 🌱 God often develops roots before He reveals fruit.

Your consistency matters. Your obedience matters. Your faithfulness matters. Trust God with the timing and the outcome.

Fruitfulness follows faithfulness!

Choose Joy Every Day 🌻

Every day may not be perfect, but every day gives us another opportunity to choose joy.

Choose joy even when life feels uncertain. Choose gratitude instead of focusing on what’s missing. Choose peace over worry. And choose to trust that God is working—even when you cannot yet see what He is doing.

Joy isn’t pretending that everything is perfect. It’s knowing that God is still good, His grace is still sufficient, and His promises are still true.

Happy Friday, y’all! 🌻

I’m excited to spend today leading “AI Fundamentals & Digital Literacy/Citizenship Workshops”for students across my entire school—from Primary through High School.

One of the things I absolutely LOVE about teaching in a micro school is the freedom to create meaningful, innovative learning experiences for students. The possibilities truly feel limitless.

Experiences like today also remind me why I’m so excited about opening my own micro school next year. I want to help show what education can look like when we are free to innovate, respond to students’ needs, and move Kashi Levette Bazemoreeaucracy, red tape, and the pressure to simply maintain the status quo.

My vision is bigger than one school. One day, I believe we can have affiliated micro schools serving students and families throughout the nation—schools where creativity, leadership, innovation, and strong relationships are at the center of learning.

For now, I’m grateful to be in a school environment that reminds me every day of what is possible.

May God’s will be done. He gave me the vision, and I intend to faithfully follow where He leads.

I love working at a micro school that emphasizes environmental science and nature. I love walking in and seeing fresh sunflowers in the morning. Did I mention that the sunflower is my absolute favorite flower.
