English Club!

Tonight at 6 is our last meeting of the semester and we'll be announcing the winner of the $15 gift card! Tonight's meeting will be fairly informal and we'll just have some fun as we talk about what's coming up next semester. Make sure to come by to see what we have planned for 2017!

CORRECTION: This Wednesday's Personal Statement workshop will be held in Caldwell M8 on the Mezzanine floor, NOT Tompkins 131B.

Need help writing your Personal Statement for Grad school?! Dr. Ding will be with us on Wednesday at 6 in Tompkins 131B to help!

EVENT: Tomorrow night the English Club will be having a movie night in Caldwell Hall Room G111 at 6 p.m. We'll be going over the rest of the events scheduled for this semester as well as watching one of the following: The Nightmare Before Christmas, Much Ado About Nothing, or Pleasantville! Hope to see you all there!

HAPPENING NOW! The English Club's Halloween Party in Tompkins G123! Free food and games!

This WEDNESDAY we our having our annual Halloween party in Tompkins G123 at 6 p.m.! Join us for a scary story contest, candy giveaway bags, and lots of homemade Halloween sweets. The event is also catered by Jimmy Johns. Lastly we'll be having a small costume contest where the BEST COSTUME wins a $15 prize!

REMINDER: The Student-Faculty Reception is tonight at 6 p.m. in the Caldwell Lounge. It's a great opportunity for students and English Department to connect and mingle over free food. Make sure to come by!

Also if you're interested at all, make sure to come by the Creative Writing Club meeting tomorrow at 6 pm in Tompkins 131B. We'll be taking a look at our members flash fiction stories. It'll be lots of fun so make sure to come by and check our club out!

Weekly recap!

We had a great meeting with Prof. Isom this week about potential internship opportunities as well as the internship-related class ENG 350. Now we set our sights on the STUDENT-FACULTY mixer coming up on Wednesday Sept. 21 at 6 in Caldwell lounge. Stay tuned for more info on that in the coming week!
