NCSU Academic Study of Religions Club

NCSU Academic Study of Religions Club ASRC offers students the opportunity to experience a variety of religious expressions in an academic context, fostering a wider worldview for all!

The Academic Study of Religion Club is a group of students and faculty from NC State that meets periodically to discuss anything relevant to the academic study of religion(s). All students at NC State are welcome and encouraged to join; you needn’t be a Religious Studies major or minor. Everyone is encouraged to attend ASRC events. These include lectures, film viewings, performances, trips to loca

l places of worship and respect, etc. We do not endorse any particular religion or lack thereof. We talk about religions and learn about them, enhancing our knowledge of peoples and their traditions. ASRC is a proud affiliate of NCSU's chapter of the Interfaith Youth Core, a group which strives to promote pularlism and tolerance across campuses nationwide. President - Aaron Davis

Art, history, AND religious studies?

If you have an interest in any or all of these we'd like to encourage you to attend "Theology in Color!" Fr. Anthony Salzman, a creator of beautiful Byzantine icons, will be providing a lecture and Q&A about iconography this Thursday (February 11th) at 7pm in Park Shops 201!

This event is hosted, planned, and organized by the Orthodox Christian Fellowship.
