So many WMS families supported the 8th grade End of Year events with donations of chips, candy, water, and prizes. Please accept the PTSA’s heartfelt thanks. On Monday at the Pizza Lunch/Talent Show, we are going to be giving out a LOT of door prizes to the 8th grade students-- 12 gift baskets, 15 gift cards to local dining establishments, and 8 giant bags of candy. WOW! We will post photos of the event next week.

Also, a HUGE thanks to our corporate and business sponsors this year! Having community support really helps us provide great events for our students

🎭✨ Camp Wakefield Day 5 Recap: Talent Show Day! ✨🎭

What an incredible way to wrap up an amazing week at Camp Wakefield! Today was filled with laughter, creativity, music, and unforgettable performances from our talented teachers and staff.

A huge thank you to Dr. Rachlin for providing a delicious lunch from Bella Italia! 🍝

We also had the joy of giving out prizes to our Talent Show finalists and raffle winners. The competition was close, and every entry brought something unique, creative, and hilarious to the stage!

CAMP WAKEFIELD DAY 3: MESS HALL LUNCH

Today’s Teacher Appreciation Week lunch was a huge success! Teachers and staff enjoyed Firebirds’ chicken pasta, salad, bread, and an amazing brownie/ crème brûlée cheesecake dessert. 🍝🥗🥖🥮

They were challenged to guess how many grams of trail mix were in the displayed containers. Staff members with the closest guesses (as well as a random selection of participants) received donated prizes from Uptown Cheapskate, Salty Turtle, Fave Nutrition, Goodberry’s, & iSmash! 🎉

A special thank you to Whataburger Wake Forest for their generous surprise donation of a gift basket and free hamburgers for a year! 🍔❤️ The prize was randomly awarded to our amazing and hardworking custodian, Mr. Brown, and we couldn’t think of anyone more deserving.

Thank you to our parent volunteers, community partners, and staff who helped make today so special for our Wakefield family!

We’re kicking off Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week at Wakefield Middle School with a morning full of gratitude, good food & camp vibes.

This morning we welcomed our amazing teachers and staff with a warm check-in, breakfast, and swag bags (complete with a t-shirt, this week’s agenda, a snack and vouchers) to start the week strong.

We’re so grateful for everything they do to make Wakefield Middle such a special place. This week is all about celebrating our teachers & staff and we’re just getting started!

As we prepare for our 8th grade end-of-year events, we’re excited to celebrate our students and make these moments special for them!

If you’re able to contribute, we would greatly appreciate it. Be on the lookout for a signup for chaperones for the dance. We'd love to have any 6th or 7th grade parents, also, to help with setup for the dance (May 29th). Even an hour that afternoon would be helpful so that the 8th grade moms can get home to help their kids/take pictures, etc. for their special night. It's also a great way to see what all is involved for when your child is in 8th grade.
