Huntsville 2026!
What a year…
lots of work, lots of fun, lots of stress, and definitely worth it in the end!
Our launch came 6ft away from predicted apogee, recovery was perfect, payload was deployed, payload self righted (onto a rock), and attempted to dig through this rock. Besides the unfortunate rock everything performed beautifully!
This team has put in plenty of days and long nights to get to this day and we’d like to thank everyone who showed up to meetings throughout the year!
Please enjoy these photos from the LAST launch of the year…

As you probably know by now, Artemis 2 has returned to Earth after successfully traveling around the far side of the moon! Aboard this mission was Christina Koch, a NC State alumni who has a B.S. in Electrical engineering and Physics as-well as a M.S in Electrical engineering.
Back in 2017 Christina visited NC State where our club was able to have a Q&A with her! Concluding this meeting she was given a few stickers in which she took with her up to the ISS!
With all the said welcome back to Earth and thank you so much!

🗓️3/29 - 4/4 Week Overview 🗓️
This week focused on finding a location to launch our competition rocket! Due to a burn ban keeping us from launching at our typical launch site, we reached out to different locations and were able to launch in Virginia!
While focused on finding a launch site, we also participated in Habitat for Humanity’s Shack-A-Thon where we built a rocket shaped shack! This shack was manned at all hours throughout the week while selling plenty of goods that were able to raise ≈$2500!
Thanks to everyone who stopped by and supported us!

On March 14th we launched our Fullscale competition rocket out at the Bayboro launch field! Despite some difficulties with the heat inside the rocket we were able to gain significant data for our Airbrakes system, including 6 data sets from our custom flight computer FIRM!
On top of our club launch we had a personal launches too, including:
-Mads Groennegaard launched his Iris 4 to get his L1 certification
-Kai Taylor launched a LOC-IV X2 to get his L1 certification
-Robert Gould launched his LOC-IV for a L1 certification
