Great advising can shape a student’s entire experience, and sometimes a simple “thank you” says it best.
Last month, the NC State University Advisor Professional Development Committee launched the Thank an Advisor program to recognize the incredible advising happening across our campus.
Please join us in celebrating NC State OIS advisors Maggie Harney and Lauren Ball, who received two heartfelt expressions of gratitude from a Computer Science graduate student in the college of NC State Engineering. Their encouragement, care and generous support make a meaningful difference for our international students every day and help strengthen the welcoming community that defines NC State.
Thank you, Lauren and Maggie, for the impact you make every day. ❤️

You may not think twice about opening a website, watching a video or filling out an online form, but for millions of people, digital accessibility can shape whether those experiences are usable at all.
Today is Global Accessibility Awareness Day, a day dedicated to getting people talking, thinking and learning about digital accessibility.
From websites and apps to videos and online resources, accessibility helps ensure everyone can fully participate in the digital world. More than 1 billion people worldwide live with disabilities, making accessible design and communication more important than ever.
Because access to information, connection and opportunity should never depend on ability.

Not to get emotional on main but…
you did it 🎓
One day you’re walking to class wondering if you’ll ever finish the semester.
The next you’re here.
Cap on.
Degree earned.
Taking photos you’ll look back on for years.
Wherever you go next, whether it’s across Raleigh or across the world, we know you’ll do incredible things.
Congratulations, Wolfpack. Thank you for letting NC State be part of your story. ♥️

A behind-the-scenes look at one of NC State’s most innovative spaces 🌍📚
Last month, Hunt Library on Centennial Campus hosted two visiting librarians from the Technical Library of the Agency for Defense Development in South Korea.
While in the U.S. for the Computers in Libraries 2026 conference, they toured Hunt Library, explored collaborative learning spaces, and experienced the BookBot in action, with Associate Director for Collections & Research Services David Goldsmith leading the tour.
Moments like these highlight how global engagement and academic libraries come together to support the exchange of ideas, expertise, and innovation across borders.
