Shameful. And this 67% not proficient in math and 65% in reading was data from a few years ago pre-Covid. Estimates today are likely 70% of public school children are not proficient in math and reading.
As our schools continue to focus soley on expanding social agenda education our kids are falling further behind.

The average teacher salary in Wake County is $58,403. But in neighboring Franklin County, teachers are paid, on average, nearly $9,000 less at $49,805. Those are some of the school finance statistics reported on North Carolina's new Financial Transparency Dashboard.
