Many in the autistic community feel a stronger connection to the color gold rather than traditional symbols like blue or puzzle pieces. Gold represents a sense of value, uniqueness, and strength, reflecting the diverse experiences and perspectives within autism. It moves away from outdated stereotypes, offering a symbol that highlights the brilliance and individuality of those on the spectrum.
Let’s kick off Autism Acceptance Month in a bright, bold way! Tomorrow help light up campus with us by wearing gold or yellow! πŸ’›
