Triangle Kendo Iaido

4/11 TKI annual meeting/dinner at George's restaurant "Boatman Spirits Co.".
This year, nearly twice as many members participated as usual.

The meeting included, "State of TKI", introduce the "2025 rank promotion Passers" "election of this year's BOD members", and discussion of "how to develop the dojo this year" etc.
We also screened the annual retrospective video—a tradition we started last year—and also hosted a quiz contest featuring Kendo trivia questions.
Additionally, we held a joint celebration to honor Thomas and Euphie on their recent marriage, Yamamura sensei on his birthday last month, and Kassi sensei on his upcoming birthday next month.🥳

Godo Keiko 3/21/26

Having the opportunity to practice with practitioners from various dojos is a truly exciting experience for everyone involved.
Thank you North Raleigh Kendo and Iaido, for hosting and inviting us for the unforgettable godo keiko.

We had a guest from Japan on 3/19.
During their student days, he was a rival who faced off against Yudai numerous times in Japanese competitions.
We don't usually do much "Shiai"-specific training, but this time, we learned a variety of techniques from him that will be useful in competition.
This time, the Keiko was very valuable, especially for the kids!!
Watching their ”Shiai"-style keiko was also very exciting.
Thank you Yuki, for a very valuable keiko!!

Last keiko with Aida sensei before he goes back to Japan.
And Ishimori sensei also came all the way from Colombia, SC to じjoin the keiko.
