The Priority Application Deadline for our Fall Transforming Leaders cohort is TODAY (May 29).

Apply by today to ensure your spot in the cohort (only 5 spots remaining!)

Transforming Leaders is a personal leadership deep dive, delivered in a cohort-based model where you learn just as much from the brilliant participants in the room as you do from the facilitation team.

This is not your standard leadership development program - no step by step frameworks, no business school professor with outdated case studies.

Transforming Leaders provides situational leadership skill-building for people who have real issues with real teams in real companies. And it delivers real results.

Take it from our Spring 2026 graduates:

- 100% now have a community of peers they can rely on
- 100% say the program made them more effective leaders
- 100% agree that the program was a worthwhile investment

🎓 Introducing the 2026 Regional Leadership Goodmon Fellows!

The Regional Program is a 3.5 month cohort-based civic leadership deep dive. Participants meet bi-weekly at locations across the Triangle, gaining firsthand insight into the people, places, and systems that shape our communities.

Participants leave with stronger strategic awareness, a community-wide network built on real relationships, and potential wins in local engagement or advocacy.

We were very grateful to have our friends at Armstrong McGuire & Associates sponsor the 2026 Regional Cohort Graduation last week!

Nevin Daryani, Senior Director of Operations at Armstrong McGuire, is a 2023 graduate of the Regional Program. He shared his experience as a Fellow and a community leader while opening up the Graduation Ceremony - encouraging us to prioritize rest & understand when a reaction is truly warranted (and when it’s not).

Leadership Triangle is able to continue our mission because of the partners who support our work, and we’re so grateful to the whole team at Armstrong McGuire for our enduring collaboration!

Last week, as part of our anti-poverty focus, our Regional Leadership cohort had the privilege of visiting the Farm at Penny Lane - a 40-acre sanctuary in Chatham County where community, nature, and mental health recovery intersect.

The Farm at Penny Lane provides housing, nature-based therapy, and community gatherings for individuals with severe and persistent mental illness.

Each session throughout the Regional Program is designed to explore the historic and present-day factors that shape health, well-being, and vitality across the Triangle. In addition to providing data and context, we always highlight community leaders driving meaningful change in those areas. It was a joy to be at The Farm at Penny Lane and learn from their team!

Our first Civic Voices workshop has wrapped! These are the leaders who will carry their communities’ voices into the halls of the NC General Assembly. We are proud to have helped equip them for that work, alongside our partners at the NC Institute of Public Leadership (IOPL) (Brad Young).

Over the course of this workshop, participants explored how the NC Legislature works, what nonprofits can (and can’t) do when it comes to advocacy and lobbying, and how to have the courageous conversations that move policy forward.

To our speakers - David Heinen, Karen Mcleod, Nick Wood, Alicia Davis, Meisha Evans, Sarah Patterson Sonnenberg, Sherry Melton, Rep Mike Schietzelt, and Rep Sarah Crawford - you all poured an incredible amount of experience, wisdom and insight into our group, and we are so grateful for your engagement and leadership!

Special thank you to Fidelity Investments (Leslie Lillard Walden, Jade (Manley) Smith) and The Jimmy Carroll Foundation (Jennifer Hamilton, Rachael Klayman) for your sponsorship and partnership!

“Collaboration makes the greatest difference at the intersection of systems and lived experience. At Southeast Raleigh Promise, real progress happens when nonprofits, residents, schools, funders, and public agencies align around a common vision and coordinate their efforts. No single organization can solve complex challenges alone, but together, we can reduce duplication, leverage resources, and create lasting impact.” - Mary Ann Stinson-Ottaviano

Mary Ann is the Director of Resource Development at Southeast Raleigh Promise, whose mission is to ensure that Southeast Raleigh residents have fair access to opportunities to grow, thrive, and prosper. Mary Ann is a 2021 Goodmon Fellow, having graduated from the Transforming Leaders Program. We are honored to showcase her work and leadership!
