Highlighting one of our recent FCS graduates! Shealynn Sellers is a former CTE Early Childhood Education student and a 2025 Smoky Mountain High School graduate, who is working as an Early Childhood Teachers Assistant in the Infant Toddler classroom at Scotts Creek Elementary. Shea is currently enrolled at Southwestern Community College in the Early Childhood Program and is a recipient of the Early Years TEACH scholarship.

Our Teaching as a Profession Pathway is excited to announce one of our newest articulation agreements. We now have 10 Colleges and Universities that give our students credit for completing the Teaching as a Profession Pathway. https://catawba.edu/news/all-news/2025/edarticulationagreement/.

Get ready for the 2025 NCAFCS Annual Conference. Registration is open and there are some amazing sessions planned for all areas of FCS! There are two amazing pre-conference sessions to help you build not only industry knowledge but also take away instant lesson plan ideas.
