Hey Middle Schoolers! The window to sign up for 2026 Fall Sports (Boys Soccer, Girls Tennis, Girls Volleyball, and Co-ed Cross Country) is open! ⚽️🎾

Anyone interested in trying out must complete the Fall 2026 Sports Sign-Up Form, which was emailed to all middle schoolers this week. (Please note - Students must be logged into their MCS account to complete the form - parents cannot complete it.)

The deadline to complete this form is Thursday, May 21st. Students must also have a completed Athletic Packet on file (with physical and concussion form) by 5/29. Physicals are good for one calendar year.

In order to drive students to practices and games, parents must complete the Driver Agreement. Visit the Athletic page on our website to download all forms and return them to Mr. Lin Harp, Athletic Director.

Calling All Magellan Mariners! It's time for Round 2 of voting for Magellan's Mascot!

Thank you to everyone who submitted feedback in our Round 1 Survey. We got some fantastic ideas and have now narrowed down to a Top 3! The link to vote can be found on our website and in the Magellan Minute. It was also emailed to all middle school students and shared with elementary students in Google classroom.

So which mascot do you feel would be best for Magellan? The deadline for submissions is Friday, May 29.

Thanks for being a part of our Magellan history - and Go Mariners!

We are JAMMIN’ today, as our impressive 4th graders presented their year-long research projects at the MCS Science Jamboree! And wow - this is just a sampling of the many fascinating topics we learned about through some very creative displays and stellar research. We are so proud of our 4th graders and all of their hard work. What a fantastic celebration of science!

Even as we near the end of the school year, our army of volunteers remains strong - and we are so grateful! This month, we'd like to highlight two outstanding Magellan volunteers who consistently go above and beyond: Erin Grant & Leslie Anderson. Not only can these Mariner parents often be found volunteering in the front office, but they also dedicated much time and energy to our 8th grade Bingo Bash this year.

Thank you for all that you do Ms. Grant and Ms. Anderson - and to all of our other parent volunteers. We wouldn't be able to create the Magellan Magic without you!
