Our First 10 Days have been AWESOME! We've had the best start to the year so far, and the students have made it so much fun already. We have already seen kindness, respect, including our new students, and helping peers in class. If our Cougars keep this up, they are going to do some really amazing things this year!

🎉We are so excited to celebrate Srta. Ibarra and her nomination for Magnet Teacher of the Year!🎉 Srta. Ibarra has made an incredible impact at EM3! From leading our Hispanic Heritage Assembly and launching our International Festival to helping create a Hispanic Parent Conference Night, she continues to strengthen our school community. Her innovative Arts + Design teaching has earned recognition from both her colleagues through our school magnet award and the district through an Employee Excellence Award. She continues to grow as an educator, representing East Millbrook at the National Arts Integration & STEAM Conference in St. Louis this July.

Saturday afternoon, celebrate the end of the first week of school with Sweet Frog Raleigh! From 1-4pm, tell them you're with East Millbrook and they will donate part of the sale to our PTA. It's one of the easy ways you can support our school this year, and we appreciate it!

CALLING YOUTH LEADERS

We are so excited to share the 2026–2027 National PTA Youth Council, a brand-new initiative from National Parent Teacher Association, designed to elevate the voices, ideas, and leadership of young people across the country.

Your Voice. Your Leadership. Your Impact.

Youth Council members will have opportunities to:

✨ Connect with other youth leaders
✨ Build leadership, communication, and advocacy skills
✨ Share their perspectives on issues affecting young people
✨ Contribute to National PTA projects and initiatives

Our Cougars astound us every year with their creativity. Studies have shown that the arts benefits students in many ways, including a lower dropout rate, higher SAT scores, and increased college graduation rates. We can't wait to see what our beginning artists accomplish this year!
