Thatβs it, everybody! Time to call a wrap on the school year and send our 8th graders off to high schoo! 8th Grade Promotion featured words from SGA President Shyanne, a song from Ayiden, speech from Arianna, and lots of love from Mrs Taylor, Mr Artis, Mr Marcin, and all the 8th grade teachers! Good luck, Class of 2030!!!! π¨βππ

Letβs take a break from EOGs & reminisce about that awesome Dance concert with Ms. Holloway. The music was so fun, the students were so talented, and the 8th grade celebration at the end was so sweet! Also, donations that night made this the second highest grossing event of the year! Thank you, Cougar families, for supporting the Arts for our kids!
Thanks again to Ms Hamilton for sharing her photos, which are always better than mine!

We had another celebration today! In addition to teaching 8th grade ELA, Mrs Franklin is our Mentor Coordinator, helping brand new teachers by pairing them with a mentor and providing monthly support. She was recognized as Mentor Coordinator of the Month by Beginning Teacher Support Team! Her son & husband were in on the surprise, and then she zoomed off on her motorcycle at the end of the day like a LEGEND! π΅π¨

Hey Cougar families! As you know, TOMORROW, FRIDAY 5/29 is our 1st EOG! Please have students on campus on time so they can get breakfast, log in to their computers, and be ready when the test begins. Students who arrive late can not join their class and will have to retest on a make-up day. Also remember that even if a student finishes early, they can not check out until the test session ends to prevent classroom and hallway disruption for others.
We are CONFIDENT in our students' abilities, and we hope you are, too! Encourage them to get to sleep early and do their best the first time. THEY CAN DO IT! π

We would love your feedback! As you know, we are coming to the end of our federal MSAP grant. Next year is the 5th and final year, so we are making plans for next steps as we implement the Design Thinking magnet theme. We only had 16 parents respond in round 1, but we would love to have at least 50. Thank you for taking a moment to share your thoughts!

Last night, Mr Ashford was celebrated at the Wake County Public School System Teacher of the Year banquet. Congratulations to the teachers representing each school, but especially to our favorite CTE teacher!
