Wildwood Forest is turning the page on summer in a big way! 📚
We’re excited to share that Wildwood Forest Magnet Elementary is 1 of only 27 schools in the district selected to participate in the Wake Up & Read: Today A Reader, Tomorrow A Leader Summer Reading Program! Next week, all students in grades K-2 will receive free books for their summer reading pleasure.
Today we kicked off the celebration by welcoming renowned author Judy Allan Dodson to campus for our Wildwood Forest Summer Reading Kickoff. Sponsored by the Wake Up & Read Program, this special initiative helps spark a love of reading and supports early childhood literacy—because today’s readers truly are tomorrow’s leaders. 🐺

Learning came to life in Ms. Maggie’s class as students put their math skills to work while studying area! Students designed fenced-in habitats for their animals and then calculated the area of each space. From math to imagination, their creativity was running wild… because I guess it really is a jungle out there! 🐒📏🌿

Today we welcome all rising kindergarten families for Kindergarten Orientation at Wildwood Forest! Our informational session will begin promptly at 5:45 PM in the media center. We are so excited to meet our newest members of the Wolf Family and begin this exciting journey together!

Tonight is the FINAL performance of Seussical Kids the Musical! 🎭
Showtime is at 6:00 PM, and our Drama Club students are ready to shine on stage! Come out and support these talented performers as they bring the world of Dr. Seuss to life through music, acting, and lots of hard work. We hope to see you there!

Wildwood Forest kindergarten students recently took a trip into the wonderful world of letters and sounds at Letterland Days at Pullen Park! 📚✨

This annual partnership with the Wake County Public School System brings phonics to life, allowing students to meet the beloved Letterland characters while building early reading skills through hands-on learning and play.

Between the smiles, laughter, and excitement throughout the day, we think it’s safe to say these young readers had a “letter-perfect” day at the park! 🌳🔤

Tonight is opening night for Seussical Kids! 🎭✨

Coding meets storytelling in Mrs. Kodack’s media class! Third grade students programmed robots to travel through the setting of a story while retelling key events along the way. These young innovators combined literacy, creativity, and technology skills to bring stories to life! 🤖📚✨

Mr. Jeter’s first grade students are bringing habitats to life one diorama at a time! Each prototype showcases the research, creativity, and problem-solving skills students used to design a habitat that perfectly fits the animals and environment they studied. Future scientists and engineers are hard at work at Wildwood Forest! 🌎🦁🐢
