Today’s little win 🕰️💛

We had one of those lightbulb moments today—when telling time finally clicked! Watching my student go from unsure to confidently reading the clock (and proudly announcing the time 😄) was the sweetest thing. A little patience, a little humor, and a lot of practice made all the difference.

These are the moments that remind me why I love tutoring so much 💕

Had one of those moments today that reminds me why I love what I do 📕💜

I met a new mom and her daughter through tutoring, and by the end of our time together you could feel the relief. Watching her daughter relax, laugh, and get it—all while being taught with patience, humor, and real competency—was everything. The mom shared how grateful she was to see her child supported instead of rushed or overwhelmed, and that meant more to me than she probably realized.

Every child deserves to be taught in a way that builds confidence and joy, not stress. I’m so thankful for the trust families place in me and for moments like these that make the work so meaningful. Oh and she also happens to be a big Wicked fan! 🩷💚

Hi everyone! 👋

My name is Katherine Jones, MBA and I’m excited to connect with you all! I spent several years with Teach For America, where I taught middle school science. In Wake County, I taught 3rd grade (all subjects), and 5th grade science and English. I also volunteered for months with an ACT test prep program, supporting low-income students as they worked toward college readiness.

I’m passionate about helping students build confidence, master skills, and truly enjoy learning. I look forward to being a resource here and getting to know you all! Let’s get in touch to determine your student’s needs! 😊
