In honor of Adult Education & Family Literacy Week, we would like to highlight our students! Meet Tiffany Wilson. She started her journey without graduating high school, but that didn’t stop her from wanting more. She decided to go back to school for her GED and pursue a better future—not just for herself, but with a goal of building a career where she could help others.

Since returning to school, she has completed Medical Terminology, English 101, Speech, three mathematics courses, Anatomy & Physiology I, and is currently working on Anatomy & Physiology II.📚🩺

And she’s not stopping there! Her next step is transferring to a training facility to earn her professional license and continue pursuing her career goals to become a Surgical Technician.

Her story is a powerful reminder that it’s never too late to start, chase your goals, and create the future you want. Way to go Tiffany!❤️

📖September 13 - 19, 2026 is Adult Education & Family Literacy week!🙂

"The goal of Adult Education and Family Literacy week is to increase financial and societal support for access to basic education programs for U.S. adults with low literacy, numeracy, and digital skills. Advocates across the country use this opportunity to elevate adult education and family literacy nationwide with policymakers, the media, and the community. AEFL Week activities will focus on the pivotal role of adult education in enabling equitable access to societal resources, employment opportunity, and full participation in community life."
