Friday brought the sweetest surprise at Roots & Wings! The kids discovered 5 red-eared sliders trapped inside our kayaks and immediately jumped into action to help them. They created a fun little habitat for the turtles to explore and observe throughout the school day before happily releasing them back home at the end of the afternoon. 🐢☀️

Summer is here, and adventure seems to be waiting around every unexpected corner!

What a beautiful day at Roots & Wings 🌿

Our little explorers were so excited to check on their tadpoles and crawfish today—and wow, they have grown SO much over the past few weeks! Watching these creatures change right before our eyes has been such a special, hands-on way for the kids to learn about life cycles in action. There’s nothing quite like seeing curiosity turn into understanding out in nature 💚

This week, we’ve also been focusing on trees—taking time to appreciate the shade they provide us and the way they protect us from God’s beautiful sunlight. The kids have loved sitting beneath the branches, observing, learning, and soaking in the peacefulness that nature offers.

To make the week even sweeter, everyone created Mother’s Day flower crafts to celebrate all the amazing moms and grandmothers. We can’t wait for these heartfelt gifts to make their way home 💐

Oh! And peep the little mouse they rescued from the cat 🐈‍⬛ 🤪

A few rain sprinkles and a little chill in the air couldn’t stop us today 🌧️💛 We embraced it all and still had the best day exploring, learning, and making memories at Roots & Wings!
