Drama Club fundraiser this Wednesday evening from 4 - 8 pm, orders for pick up only at the Longview Chipotle (923 Ocean Beach Hwy). Please use code 8ZVQ94M at the time of purchase, see attached flyer for more info!

Chipotle will donate 25% of all sales for any orders made at that location using our code! The first week of school is hectic for everyone, treat your family to "burrito night" and help us raise funds for production costs, materials for club activities, transportation to plays, and more.

You can order in person and show the attached flyer, or order ahead online on the website and the Chipotle app for pickup.

PLEASE NOTE: Orders made using third party delivery apps like DoorDash/Uber Eats etc., DO NOT count. You must use the code at the time of your order for it to be credited to our group.

Rainier School District is participating in the Oregon Department of Education's Long-Span Roof Evaluation Grant Program, which provides funding for engineering assessments of older school buildings with long-span roof systems. The program is designed to help districts better understand the condition of these structures, identify any potential concerns, and plan for future maintenance or improvements if needed.

As part of the grant, engineers recently completed on-site assessments of roof framing in several areas of Rainier High School and the Hudson Park Elementary School library.

Based on these preliminary observations, the engineering team did not identify any structural concerns with the exposed glulam beams. While minor surface checking was observed, it is considered a normal characteristic of the material and is not expected to affect structural performance. In the high school pool area, engineers also observed surface rust on some steel components but found no visible evidence of significant structural deterioration during the initial inspection.

A final engineering report, including any additional findings and recommendations, is expected in the coming weeks. The District will review the report and share additional information with the community as the assessment is completed.
