We appreciate the recognition from United Way of Greater Union County and were honored to support their efforts to combat summer hunger.

At Rahway Community Action Organization, serving children and families has been at the heart of our mission since 1967. Whether we’re leading an initiative or supporting a community partner, we’re always proud to lend a helping hand when it benefits the families we collectively serve.

Thank you for the partnership. Together, we can make a greater impact.

This week, we were honored to welcome Aneesha Ghaly, Chief Executive Officer of Rahway Community Action, to United Way of Greater Union County. After learning about our Cereal Drive, she stepped up to support our efforts to help combat summer hunger.

Thank you, Aneesha, for your partnership and your commitment to ensuring that children and families have access to nutritious food when school is out of session. Partnerships like this help us close the gap and remind us that we are stronger together.

Together, we can make sure no child starts their day hungry. 💙🥣 Community Action Organization

Our Rahway Family Success Center is experiencing major funding cuts at a time we are serving more households than ever - 787 in 2025 to be exact.

As home to the Center since 2015, RCAO knows first-hand the value of the services and programs which fall into four major categories to strengthen families and help them navigate times of crisis.

We are working our hardest to continue to try to meet the needs of our community, but cannot do it alone. Please help us bridge the gap while we pursue alternate funding options to ensure the most vulnerable in our community are not forgotten. Once again we earned a Platinum Seal of Transparency from Candid, champions of transparency who believe information is key to driving change in our communities. This means your donation is in good hands! Your support goes directly to our programs - early childhood education, child care, food pantry, family success - and makes an immediate impact in meeting the needs of our community. As a Kids Cafe program site, we are honored to have been chosen as the host for Stop & Shop's check presentation to The Community FoodBank of New Jersey to continue to help fight food insecurity for our region's youngest citizens. We are grateful for the support to be able to provide nourishing after-school meals each day and during summer break.
