Good Evening, Mustang Families! 🐎

The moment we’ve been waiting for is finally here! Monday, August 24, 2026, is the first day of school!

We are so excited to welcome our Mustangs back to J.W. McLauchlin Elementary for the 2026–2027 school year! Our staff has been working hard to prepare for a year filled with learning, growth, laughter, and meaningful connections.

As you get ready tonight, please take a few moments to:
✨ Get backpacks and school supplies ready
✨ Set those alarms ⏰
✨ Review transportation plans
✨ Talk with your child about having a positive first day
✨ Remind them to come ready to learn, grow, and shine!

Most importantly, please remind your child that they belong here, they are valued, and we believe in them.

Tomorrow begins a brand-new journey, and I am honored to be on this journey with you. Thank you for trusting us with your greatest treasure. Together, we will continue Charting the Path to Success!

Welcome back, team! 🍎✨

Our staff kicked off the new school year in the best way possible—starting with a delicious breakfast generously provided by our amazing neighbors at RUMC. 🥞🥐

After fueling up, we gathered for our annual Back-to-School meeting, but we couldn't resist mixing in a little friendly competition with some music trivia! 🎶🏆

Now, our incredible teachers are hard at work in their classrooms, putting the final touches on everything to welcome our students back. It’s going to be a fantastic year! 📚✏️
