ATTENTION: Farmers, growers, and charitable community members!

We need your help to fill Little Pumpkin Hollow!

We are looking for pumpkin donations from local farms, growers, businesses, and community members to help make this fundraising event possible. Odd, ugly, and bumpy pumpkins are welcome! We are also hoping for paint and paintbrushes, c***r, hot chocolate, and small snacks.

If you have pumpkins or other items you'd be willing to donate, or know someone who might, please reach out to by emailing Samantha Baker at [email protected]. A donation receipt for tax purposes will be given for all donations made, whether monetary or material.

🎃 PAT Presents: Little Pumpkin Hollow 🎃

Come wander where the pumpkins grow,
where mist drifts softly through the trees below.
At Little Pumpkin Hollow, magic fills the air,
with friendly surprises waiting here and there.

Paint a pumpkin, bright and new,
then take the wooded trail and see what waits for you.
Keep watch through the fog as you wander along...
perhaps a forest fairy will appear before too long. 🧚‍♀️

A little mysterious, a little spooky too,
but friendly, fun, and made for you.
From little ones to older teens, come explore,
there’s something to discover behind every tree along the forest floor.

Parents, stay close and supervise as you roam,
then settle in for a movie before heading home.
With hot chocolate, apple c***r, and light snacks to share,
there’s plenty of autumn magic waiting in the air.

So come follow the trail and see what you find,
at Little Pumpkin Hollow, where wonder comes alive.

For community guests, a $5 minimum cash-only donation per child is requested. Donations help support HCPAT families by helping provide educational field trips and other experiences throughout the year.

Ven a pasear por donde crecen las calabazas,
donde la niebla se desliza suavemente entre los árboles.
En Little Pumpkin Hollow, la magia llena el aire,
con sorpresas agradables que te esperan aquí y allá.

Pinta una calabaza, nueva y brillante,
y luego toma el sendero del bosque y descubre lo que te espera.

Parent/Caregiver health directly impacts the health of their children.
Enjoy a little "me time" by taking advantage of this low-cost ($7) once-monthly dance fitness class hosted by Hoke County Cooperative Extension and First Health Fitness!

313 Teal Dr, Raeford, NC 28376. First class is on October 7th at 5:30!

We are SO excited to partner with FirstHealth Fitness - Raeford for a new health and wellness opportunity!

Starting in October, on the first Wednesday of each month at 5:30pm we will have a dance fitness class for our Extension community! Anyone can attend!

The class is designed to help you become more active, learn about healthy living, and feel more confident about taking care of your health. No gym membership is needed. Come as you are, move at your own pace, and have fun!

Educational health and nutrition handouts will be available to take home.

Hoke County Parents As Teachers is partnering with Child to connect Hoke County families with an upcoming Medicaid Focus Group conducted by NC Child.

The focus group will be held Tuesday, September 22, from 3:30–5:00 PM at the Hoke County Public Library.

NC Child wants to hear your honest thoughts and experiences with Medicaid as a parent or caregiver. Each participating family will receive a $50 Visa gift card for their time and insight, and dinner will be provided.

To participate, you must:

Live in Hoke County and be the primary caregiver to a child under age 18 who receives Medicaid.

If this describes your family, we would love to have you participate! If you do not meet this eligibility requirement, please do not register.

Children are welcome to attend! Activities will be provided for children during the focus group so that parents and caregivers can participate in the discussion.

Registration is required. Please register using the link or QR code on the flyer. Anyone who has not registered in advance will not be able to participate.

Please note that there will be one $50 Visa gift card per family, regardless of how many caregivers attend.
