Summer at Grayson 2026 brought hands-on science, engineering, and math to campus, plus something just as important: gifted kids finding their people. The ones who ask "why" and "what if," who get excited about a good experiment, and who leave camp with new friends who just get them.

Thanks to everyone who joined us this summer, both Grayson students and new friends from outside our school! We can't wait for Summer at Grayson 2027! ☀️

3D printing camp was in full swing this summer! Our young makers designed and printed nameplate keychains, tic tac toe boards, custom stamps, cookie cutters, and so much more. They also got hands on with 3D printing pens to bring even more creative ideas to life! 🖨️✨

Cheers to the young entrepreneurs of The Great Lemonade Stand Challenge! This summer, campers learned what it really takes to launch a business, from crafting their own recipes and pricing to marketing and customer service.

Campers built their own lemonade stand from the ground up by determining the best ratio of sour and sweet, ordering ingredients, practicing with currency and making change, and manning the stand for an afternoon! And in case you were wondering: the lemonade was delicious! 🍋💰

🧬 Big science, bigger questions at DNA Discovery Lab! This summer, our middle schoolers dove into the history of genetic engineering, wrestled with the ethics of editing the code of life, and explored how gene therapy is changing medicine around the world today.

Campers even got hands-on with real CRISPR-Cas9 biotechnology, using it to knock out the LacZ gene and see gene editing in action firsthand! Just like real science, the results were mixed: some campers successfully generated the knockout mutation, while others came away with something just as valuable: practice in error analysis and a real lesson in scientific perseverance.

This summer experience would not have been possible without the generous partnership of Genome Genius, who helped fund the program! Founded by a Grayson alumna, Genome Genius seeks to bring affordable science programming to the Philadelphia area and beyond!

What happens when you combine classic literature and medical suturing skills? You get wonderfully whimsical Webkinz, of course!

In our Frankenstuff camp, 3rd-5th grade campers dove into graphic novel versions of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein while learning real suturing techniques and classic thread based stitches. All week long, campers de- and reconstructed stuffies, stitching together their very own Frankensteined creatures! 🧸📚🧵

Summer at Grayson starts TOMORROW! 🎉

Over the next four weeks, we'll be welcoming campers to campus for programs in international cooking, investing, forensic science, eccentric mathematical games, suturing, 3D printing, and more. We also have some dedicated students taking the plunge into four weeks of compressed Calculus II and Geometry through our Catalyst Program.

Graysonpalooza feels like yesterday but somehow school has already been out for a full week! Have the best summer, Grayson community! 🌟

Congratulations to the Class of 2026! Watching you walk across the stage was one of the highlights of our year, and hopefully yours as well. You came to Grayson as students and you leave as alumni, and we couldn't be more proud of the people you've become!

One of our favorite Grayson graduation traditions is the book presentation: each graduate receives a title hand-selected by their teachers to reflect who they are and what lights them up. Our way of saying we see you, and that we're still rooting for your curiosity long after you leave Grayson!

🎨🧠 Huge congratulations to our Middle School students who took the stage at the Society for the Neuroscience of Creativity 2026 conference in Philadelphia this week! Alongside acclaimed artist King Saladeen and Thomas Jefferson University researchers, a panel of three Grayson students discussed their work on "FACES OF SUCCESS"—a groundbreaking neuroarts research project funded by the Renée Fleming Foundation. Our student panelists blew the audience away, sharing how co-creating this curriculum built their confidence and fueled a passion for personal advocacy.
