Do you love working with kids? Are you patient, encouraging, and maybe even a little excited about helping someone finally *get* that math problem? 🙌

John 23 Educational Center is looking for a **Part-Time Tutor** to support students in **4th–12th grade** right here in Racine!

🕝 **Monday–Thursday | 2:30–6:30 PM**
📅 **September–May**
☀️ **Optional summer hours available** through Summer Spark and 1:1 tutoring
📍 **On-site in Racine**

This is more than homework help—you’ll have the opportunity to build relationships, encourage students, and help them grow in confidence both inside and outside the classroom. 💙📚

In July, our team came together for a meaningful training on trauma-informed care led by Cierra Moore, Registered and Licensed Pediatric Occupational Therapist (OT). We explored how trauma can affect children, youth, families, and communities; how to recognize signs of trauma; and how to respond to students using trauma-informed care principles. Most importantly, we gained practical tools to help us create an environment where every student feels safe, supported, and understood. Our learning took place in a relaxed setting at our Executive Director’s home, with a little extra comfort provided by her two Golden Retrievers! Continuing to learn and grow as a team is essential to ensuring we are meeting the needs of the students and families we serve. We are grateful to the Walker Family Foundation, whose grant support made this valuable training possible. 💙
