One of our lovely Adult Basic Education learners surprised us today! What a beautiful gift!
The Racine Literacy Council depends on 100 volunteer tutors to lift learning for dozens of adults and families. Thank you for helping us recognize those important volunteers so critical to our mission.

Seven adult students in Racine Unified School District’s Transition 2 Employment Program proudly completed the first cohort of a five-week Work Transitions class at Racine Literacy Council.
In Work Transitions, students learn about all characteristics (personal, professional, educational) of the workplace and prepare documents that will allow them to confidently apply for employment opportunities. RUSD Transitions 2 Employment Teacher Beth Knuth chose to have her students attend the class to augment their studies and search for their first jobs. RLC Instructor Christine Espinoza teaches the Work Transitions class. A new cohort is beginning. To apply, call Racine Literacy Council at (262) 632-9495.
