Hello Starbuck Families! I am Jolynn Franklin (Ms. Franklin), and I am thrilled to be on the Starbuck team this year.
I am serving as a Building Substitute Teacher and the Athletic Coordinator. Please read over this letter carefully to ensure your athlete is ready to ball out on the court, show endurance in cross country, and of course the foundation for all things athletic, focus on learning in the classroom!!!
Registration - there are timeframes for registration. Once registration closes, it does not reopen. Please visit this website https://www.rusd.org/o/rusd/page/middle-school-athletics for registration forms. They are completed online. If your student is a cross country athlete, the last day to register is September 8. Girls basketball registration closes September 14.
Physical Form - also found on the website listed above. This must be completed, signed, stamped, and given to a secretary in the main office. Athletes who do not have this form turned in, may not try out or practice.
Fees - athletics related fees include a $10 dollar materials fee (not subject to waiver) and a $25 dollar participation fee (subject to waiver). All of this information is found on the website, and there is a short household income form to complete to see if you qualify for the $25 dollar fee to be waived. Athletes who have unpaid fees may not participate in any games, matches, or meets until all fees are paid.
All of us here at Starbuck are excited about this year and we are looking forward to a fun, safe, and learning-filled school year! The website above is your go to for getting things started. It has things laid out well for you to get done what is needed for your student-athlete. If you have any questions for me I can be reached via email at [email protected]
