This week at AoR Olympia Brown we celebrated our Academy Award winning students for Academics, Athletics, Attendance, Music, and Leadership. Students received certificates and medals for their amazing work. These 6th and 7th grade students spent a lot of time this year helping kick off the middle school programs and working hard to improve their overall growth. Great job students!

Thank you so much to United Airlines pilot and RUSD school board member Allyson Docksey for coming to AoR Olympia Brown this week to speak to our 7th grade survey class students in connection to their aviation unit. Students learned about what pilots need to know, aerodynamics, coordinating and measuring distance, qualifications needed, and pathways to becoming a pilot. Students loved learning how to speak "pilot" using the phonetic alphabet and calculating degrees and distance on the Wisconsin map. Thank you so much for helping our student grow and learn!

Our 5th grade Basketball Team 🏀 played their hearts out today all the way through double overtime! The game ended in a 22-22 tie! Both teams came ready and fought hard until the last buzzer!

As a little added fun …. There was some Principal Sibling Rivalry with the Goggins vs Goggins match up on the sidelines.

Great job O. Brown and shout out to our Coach Mr. T for getting our team game ready!

Our next game is April 30th at 4:45 at Red Apple School.

Today at AoR Olympia Brown it was College Pride Day. Some great universities, colleges, and teams being sported today! Lots of Wisconsin Badger fans!

Thank you to Gateway Technical College for hosting the Middle School Expo for our 6th grade academy students. 6th graders had the opportunity to visit Gateway and attend a few workshops centered on the programs and pathways offered to students. This field trip is a part of the academy focus of exploration and discovery! A great way to start seeing future offerings in our own backyard!

AoR Olympia Brown 7th graders headed to the Delta Hotel today for Mini-business world. Students became entrepreneurs and designed new products. Groups followed up with presentations to showcase the business designs. 2 of our groups took 2nd and 3rd place! Great job students.
