It's the 1st of the Month...let's celebrate with recognizing 2 amazing educators at SCJ!

Ms. Ericka- Literacy EA- She is new to our team this year, but she has jumped in like she has been with us for years! She goes above and beyond to help wherever she is needed! From teaching our youngest learners readings skills to engaging on the floor with them during purposeful play...she is all in!

Ms. Trish - Special Ed Assistant- She is a seasoned educator that has a toolbox full of ideas and plans to reach all of the students she works with! Even though her main assignment is 1st grade, you can find her helping anywhere in the building and many of her previous students stop by to say "hi"! She is an incredible asset to the SCJ!

Thank you both for your tremendous dedication and serving your purpose! SCJ is a better place because of you both!

I want to recognize 2 exceptional educators that earned The Belt!

Mrs. Gorney - Kindergarten Teacher- She continues to be a team player! She accepts every student as they are and works tirelessly to get them off on the right foot. Her students come with a wide variety of skills and personalities, but her and her team battle to have them feel like they belong! She truly fights every day!

Mrs. Heather- Building Sub - She graciously accepted a long term 3rd Grade position to kickoff the year! That meant prepping materials, welcoming students and parents to open house, and reaching and teaching every student that shows up! Mrs. Heather continues to do it with a positive attitude and relentless effort! Keep 💯 We appreciate you!

We had the pleasure of celebrating 2 amazing staff at our 1st Student assembly! These 2 Belt Winners model the relentless effort and attitude to go 1MoreRound for their students and the SCJ community!

Mrs. Hupcher - 1st Grade teacher- She has been a tremendous addition to our all-star staff! She has handled larger than desired class sizes and a wide a range of needs! She has been resilient through it all! Our 1st graders and SCJ are super thankful to have her!

Ms. Glenn - 1St Grade teacher- She has been a rock and solid foundation for our 1st graders team for many years! We would not have the success we have without her on our team! She continues to find unique ways to reach and teach and large roster of students that come with a variety of needs! Her resilience is admirable!

Mrs. Hupcher and Ms. Glenn are a couple reasons why we have the success we do! Their effort, energy, and passion to reach and teach our students every day models what going means!
