Our 7th graders are currently reading Ji Li Jiang’s memoir “Red Scarf Girl”. As an extension of their reading they created Kuài Yuè Dàzìbào or “Happy Big Character Posters” in contrast to the “Dàzìbào” created by students during the Chinese Cultural Revolution. 8th graders joined in to show their appreciation of staff members.

The first day of school is one week away! Our second "Meet the Teacher" and Supply Drop Off Day is next Tuesday 8/18. If you haven't already, schedule your appointment on JMC or call the office. If you cannot make the 18th, reach out to your student's teacher to see if they are available at another time. We can't wait to see all our students back in the building!

Yesterday, Mr. Jeremy Zondag, orchestra director at Shoreland Lutheran High School, gave us a unique opportunity: hands-on learning and experimenting with stringed instruments.
Shoreland partners with WLS to give students access to band, orchestra, and piano lessons within the school day. Thank you to Mr. Zondag and to Shoreland for providing these pathways for music education within our grade schools!
