💭 There are three things you need to come to terms with in life: 1️⃣ If they wanted to, they would. Sometimes, we find ourselves investing time and energy into people who don’t reciprocate the same effort. It’s important to remember that if someone truly wants to be a part of your life, they will make an effort to be there. Don’t waste your energy on those who don’t value your presence. 2️⃣ No response is a response. In a world filled with constant communication, it’s easy to get caught up in waiting for a reply or seeking validation through messages. But sometimes, silence speaks volumes. Not receiving a response can be a clear indication that someone may not be interested or invested in the same way you are. Accepting this can be tough, but it allows you to redirect your energy towards those who appreciate and reciprocate your efforts. 3️⃣ Not everybody has the same goals, the same values, or the same heart that you do. This realization can be a hard pill to swallow. We often expect others to think and feel the same way we do, but the truth is, everyone is unique. People have different aspirations, values, and ways of expressing themselves. Understanding this can help us avoid disappointment and unnecessary heartache. Embrace the diversity of perspectives and surround yourself with those who align with your values. Number 3 really hits hard for me. A few years ago, I was going through a tough time. It was during this period that someone shared this profound truth with me. It struck a chord deep within my soul and continues to resonate with me today. Accepting that not everyone will share the same goals, values, or heart as you do can be liberating. It allows you to let go of expectations and find peace within yourself.
