🎉 WE'RE EXPANDING! 🎉

After months of searching, planning, touring buildings, and dreaming about what's next, we're excited to officially announce that Aura Jiu Jitsu is expanding!

This brand-new construction space is currently being built, and we hope to move in by the end of the summer!

Less than three years ago, we opened our doors with a simple vision and a small training space. We weren't sure exactly what the future would look like, but we believed that if we focused on serving our students and building a strong culture, great things would happen.

Because of all of you, that vision has become a reality.

What started as a 1,750-square-foot academy has grown into something truly special, and now we're preparing to move into a facility more than twice the size.

Our new home will feature:

🚿 Showers
👕 Larger changing rooms
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 More room for families and spectators
📈 Space for future growth
🚗 Conveniently located just 1 minute off I-94 and Highway 20

Most importantly, it will be a home that reflects the incredible community we've built together.

This milestone belongs to every student, parent, training partner, friend, and supporter who has been part of our journey. Thank you for trusting us, supporting us, and helping build Aura Jiu Jitsu into something special.

We can't wait to share construction updates and bring you along for the journey as we build the next chapter of Aura.

This rebrand has been a huge project for Brittany and me, and seeing everyone embrace Aura the way you have has meant a lot. This first merch drop feels like another milestone in building something special together.

I might be biased, but I absolutely love the aurora-themed no-gi set. It has quickly become one of our favorite designs we've ever done. The shirts turned out great too, and they're simple enough to wear whether you're coming to class, heading to a tournament, or just out and about.

The first Aura Jiu Jitsu merch collection is finally here!

We wanted this drop to really feel like Aura. Clean designs, modern no-gi vibes, and gear that looks good both on and off the mats.

The no-gi set has a deep space / aurora theme featuring the iconic Aura “A” front and center. Honestly, this may be one of our favorite sets we’ve ever put together 👀

Super proud of these guys. They’ve all put in a ton of time, hard rounds, consistency, and dedication to get to this point. The belts are cool, but what they really represent is growth, perseverance, and continuing to show up even on the hard days.

Watching people grow through Jiu Jitsu is one of the best parts of this journey, and we’re honored to be part of their journey. Excited to see what’s next for every one of them! 👏🥋

This rebrand represents more than a new name. It reflects the culture we are building every day on the mats.

At its core, an aura is the energy you bring into a space. It’s your presence, your mindset, and the feeling you leave with others.

As a woman owned business, a female aura represents quiet strength, the courage to stand tall in challenges, and the compassion that uplifts everyone around it.

That’s what we believe Jiu Jitsu is all about.

Aura Jiu Jitsu is built on a foundation of community. It’s a place where people come to challenge themselves, support each other, and become better both on and off the mats.

We’ve always believed that great academies are defined by their people. The energy in the room. The willingness to learn. The way teammates lift each other up.

That’s the standard we hold ourselves to.

And now, it has a name.

A fun note, this also feels like a full circle moment for us. We had a space-themed wedding back in 2019, and this new identity reflects that same sense of energy, movement, and connection.

About last night....

We had the privilege of promoting 3 of our longest attending students to their next rank!

Grayson went from white to solid gray.
Timmy went from gray white to gray black.
Chloe went from yellow white to yellow black.

All have shown such immense progress since their journeys began when we first opened in 2023. Watching them grow into these new versions of themselves is part of the reason we love what we do!

And what's even better? The support system they had throughout the night! The kids shark tanked their teammates. And all 3 of the kids' parents train with us as well so their parents were their last rolls of the shark tank, which makes it that much more special.

What a great evening of jiu jitsu, laughter, friendships and gratitude 🩶🩶💛
