Black History
We recently noticed that our uplifting Black history posts have brought out the racists. Be advised your comment will be deleted and you will be blocked. Happy Black History Month!
Before Rosa Parks, there was a 15-year-old who chose not to sit at the back of the bus. The young girl was Claudette Colvin exercising her constitutional rights to remain seated near the middle of the bus , Colvin challenged the driver and was subsequently arrested.
She was the first woman to be detained for her resistance-yet, her story isn’t nearly as well known as Mrs. Parks’. In 2021, Colvin had her record expunged for the arrest in Montgomery. 🌍✊🏿
