The Brooks County Board of Tax Assessors mailed 2026 Notifications of Assessments on Friday, June 26, 2026.

The last day to file an appeal is Monday, August 10, 2026. Appeals must be made in writing. Appeals may be delivered in person, emailed, or mailed and must be received or postmarked by the deadline. Please contact our office with any questions or concerns!

Notices and values will be available for viewing on our website. Appeal forms can be found on the Georgia Department of Revenue's website.

We’re seeing the real impacts of prolonged drought across Georgia impacting 98% of our state and putting pressure on crops, livestock, and farm operations statewide. Our farmers are resilient, but they need rain, prayers, and relief soon. Our Georgia Department of Agriculture team is closely monitoring conditions and working with partners to support producers.
