Certification offered Established in 2016 by Travis Bird, Arkansas Elite is dedicated to training individuals to fill the growing demand for qualified pipe welders. Arkansas Elite offers one

program, the Elite Combo Pipe Welding Program, that is 760 clock hours in length. There are two start dates per year (typically February and August) and classes of 40 students per start date. Arkansas Elite Welding Academy is licensed to operate by the Arkansas Department of Education, Division of Higher Education. We had our first campus tour of the fall today! Included in the tour group were Corbin Ashberger and Carson Chwalinski who will be part of the February 2027 class.

📢 ATTENTION 2027 HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS! 📢

Registration is NOW OPEN for the Arkansas Elite Welding Academy, LLC Annual Welding Competition for 2027 High School SENIORS and Post-High School graduates. The competition will take place on October 30, 2026.

Round 1 will once again be presented by .o.w and is for those who graduated high school previously.

Rounds 2-4 Will be for 2027 high school seniors only!

All participants will receive a $1,000 tuition scholarship. Top scholarships will be awarded in both the Post-High School and 2027 High School Senior categories.

The Underclassmen competition for 10th and 11th graders will take place in April. Stay tuned for more information.

While starting on butt plates students will get their bevels and tack ups reviewed to make sure they have a good foundation before starting their weld. All plate and pipe bevels are hand ground to insure they have repetition before putting a bevel on in the field for the first time.
