We appreciate Chums on the Water for their donation of a guided fishing trip for our silent auction last year!! Looks like Ms Lewis and CJ had a great time! Thank you for your support of our Boles FFA kiddos!!! 🎣🎣🎣

This morning, Chums on the Water had the privilege of taking out a fishing trip we donated last year to the Boles FFA auction. We absolutely love giving back to our community, and one of the best rewards is getting to put smiles on people’s faces.

The mom who won the trip chose to spend some quality time with her daughter before she heads off to Tarleton State University next week. What a great way to make one more memory together before college!

The north wind and cooler morning temperatures had the fish much more active than they have been lately, and we were able to catch them without trolling again. 🎣 They kept a little over a limit but easily could have caught close to 50 fish if they had wanted to keep fishing.

We were back at the dock by 9:45 a.m., cleaning fish and wrapping up another great morning on Lake Tawakoni.

Thank you to everyone who supports Chums on the Water and allows us to keep giving back to our community!

⭐️Congratulations to all the kids tonight. Your hard work paid off, your futures are bright and we’re all so proud of you!⭐️

Thank you to the Boles FFA Booster Club, Randy Arrington and Chasity Gosnell for the sides and Burt for providing the meats at tonight’s meal.

‼️Special thank you to Tractor Supply of Quinlan. I wasn’t able to get any pics as I was standing with them tonight, but these amazing ladies and business have supported these kids tremendously this year. They provided items for our auction and raffle, water bottles, pallets of shavings and 5 gallon buckets for these kids at the fair along with including us in any special event the store has!‼️

💵Congratulations to the 2 winners of the Booster Club Scholarship-CJ Lewis and Luke Scoggins💵

🪣 We were also able to throw in a Tractor Supply bucket of goodies to our graduating seniors-CJ, Kirra, Luke, Modesto, Kenneth, Bailey, Bryan and Sawyer. Good luck in the future and congratulations to the Class of 2026!

Parents, thank you for supporting not only your kids but us as an FFA and Booster Club. We couldn’t do this without you. As the saying goes “it takes a village!” ❤️

Dress Code - Official Dress or Nice button up shirt, jeans with no holes, and nice shoes.
Members will eat free and need to bring a dessert.

Have you ever been to an FFA event and noticed the jackets hanging up at the end?
Many people view this scene as the final finish line for FFA members to retire from the organization. The graduating seniors say a few words and then take off their jackets. Their chapter is over, but the memories never leave.

Here it is, the moment is coming soon.

The banquet hall is quiet, and then someone drops a spoon.

You quickly compose yourself and get ready for the time.

A thousand different memories start flooding through your mind, from judging livestock, showing animals of species of every kind.

From giving speeches, showing, welding, and attending WLC, this jacket has shaped into the leader you dreamed to be.

Now the time has come to hang up your blue jacket for good, but don’t let this message go misunderstood.

Although you retire your jacket, you don’t retire the impact. The times with your ag teacher, at the show, at the contest, these memories will stay in tact.

So as you unzip the jacket, there’s more ahead you gotta admit, because today you may hang up the jacket, but never hang up the journey you gained from it.

Forever thankful for the impact FFA made on my life. I hope it has made a difference in your life too!

Campbell Kirby came in 3rd in her category
Waylon Rose, JD Helmberger and Eli pare also came in 3rd in their category.
