Plumas Children Raising our mountain kids is the most important thing we do and Plumas Children hopes to inspire, inform and connect people.

The Plumas Early Education & Child Care Council in collaboration with Plumas Children's Council strive to support the protective factors of parent resilience, social connections, concrete support in times of need, knowledge of parenting and child development, and social and emotional competence of children.

BIG NEWS! The CDE has released the newly updated Preschool/Transitional Kindergarten Learning Foundations (PTKLF). The PTKLF describe the knowledge and skills that most children ages three to five and a half develop in a high-quality early education programs. These foundations are intended for use in transitional kindergarten, California State Preschool Program, and other state-funded, federally-funded, and private preschool programs in California- including school-based, center-based, and home-based settings.
