We are excited to invite you to Quincy Elementary School's "Welcome to Cougar Country – Back to School Night" on Monday, August 17. This is a great opportunity to welcome our students and families back to campus and help everyone feel prepared and excited for the 2026–2027 school year.

🎉 4:30–5:00 PM | Teacher Assignments & PCO
Students and families can find out their teacher assignment and take a self-guided tour of campus to locate their new classroom and become familiar with the campus.
Learn about volunteer opportunities with PCO
🐾 5:00–5:05 PM | Principal’s Welcome

Session 1: 5:05–5:30 PM
Session 2: 5:35–6:00 PM

Two sessions will give families with multiple children the opportunity to visit more than one classroom. Teachers will share classroom routines, learning expectations, communication information, and ways families can support their child’s success.

🐾 Interested in Volunteering at QES or PCO?
We love having our families involved at Quincy Elementary and our Parent Cooperative Organization, PCO. Whether you’re interested in helping in a classroom, supporting school events, joining us on field trips, or lending a hand in other ways, we’d love to have you volunteer.

All volunteers must be fingerprinted through the District Office before volunteering.

If you’d like to get this done before school starts, fingerprinting will be available at Quincy High School on August 17 from 4:30–5:30.

If you or a family you know has a child starting TK or Kindergarten this school year we invite them to attend our upcoming TK & Kindergarten Jumpstart program!

🌈 TK & Kindergarten Jumpstart

📅 August 12 & 13 at QES located on Alder St.

🕗 8:00–11:00 a.m.

This fun two-day program helps our newest Cougars:
✔️Meet their teachers and new friends
✔️Get comfortable with the school and classroom routines
✔️Build confidence before the first day of school
✔️Help our teachers create balanced class lists

Students are invited to attend based on their last name:
📝 A–L: August 12
📝 M–Z: August 13

📩 Teachers will reach out to families on August 11 to confirm attendance.

💉 All immunizations must be current and turned in to the school nurse to attend.

📚✨ It’s Time to Enroll Our Newest Cougars! ✨📚

Enrollment for our incoming Transitional Kindergarten (TK) and Kindergarten students for the 2026–27 school year is happening now 🐾❤️

Starting the enrollment process early has many benefits:
✔️ Helps your child feel prepared and excited for TK or Kindergarten
✔️ Ensures you receive important communication and updates from our school
✔️ Supports our planning as we prepare for the school year.

📝 Enrollment Information for 2026–27:
• Children must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2026 to enroll in Kindergarten
• Children must be 4 years old on or before September 1, 2026 to enroll in Transitional Kindergarten (as available)

📅 First Day of School: Wednesday, August 19, 2026
• Kindergarten: Full school day
• TK: Ends at 12:05 PM daily
• After school care available until 6:00 PM
• Fridays are early release days
