Big shout out to the Western Illinois Amateur Radio Club and Hannibal Amateur Radio Club this morning. They're having their 1st ever hamfest in Palmyra, MO and it appears to be a success already. Plenty of people, even have a vendor from Saint Charles, MO (near Saint Louis). I did bring some flyers and tickets down for them to give away. Congrats to the two clubs for getting this going and a thank you to them for filling a gap in the region. Now off to DEKALB Hamfest tomorrow.

A reminder that there will be a free tailgate flea market session prior to the September meeting on September 6. Because of the tailgate session, we will be meeting in Moorman Park in Quincy, tailgate starting at 5:30 PM with the club meeting starting at 7:00 PM.
Everyone is invited, we will try to secure the largest shelter house and parking lot in the northern part of the park.

Field Day 2022
The Western Illinois Amateur Radio Club will finally be back at the Red Cross in Quincy for Field Day June 25 and 26. Setup will start about 10 AM on the 25th and tear down will happen around 1:00 PM on the 26th. All are invited to come and help, watch or operate.
The Red Cross is located at 3000. N. 23rd.

Illinois is about to celebrate its bi-centennial. The WIARC is joining in with the ILQSO200, an award based on working counties in Illinois between August 26 and December 3.
